Throughout her training, Dr. van Putten has worked with individuals, couples, and families facing relationship challenges, chronic illness, disabilities, and other mental health related concerns.
Dr. van Putten’s theoretical orientation can be described as eclectic, meaning that therapist adjusts modality to fit the needs of the Client. Her philosophy is that change is possible. It is up to each person to be willing to put in the work necessary to allow for change to occur. She also believes that no matter what relationships people are involved in, family, couple, workplace, church, etc., these relationships should be healthy. With this in mind, she strives to help people learn the skills necessary for making healthy decisions that support the changes they seek to make in their lives.
